Eric Kelley is a Licensed Private Investigator. A lifetime resident of Broome County, Eric graduated in 1987 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Criminal Justice at Binghamton University and in 1984 with an Associate's Degree in Criminal Justice at North County Community College. He's a graduate of the 1997 Broome County Law Enforcement (Police) Academy.
Eric is a highly trained Investigator with over 35 years of experience investigating hundreds of Criminal cases including Murder, Arson, Robbery, Burglary, Sex Offenses, Domestic Violence and White Collar Crime during his 23 years as an Investigator/Police Officer for the Broome County District Attorney's Office and 10 years as an Investigator with the Broome County Public Defender's Office.
Eric's achievements in the Criminal Justice Field include specialized training in Statement Analysis; Evidence handling; Internet Crimes against Children; Search Warrants; Identity Crime Investigations; Computer Crime Investigations; NCIC Training and Certification (1997 to 2021); Firearms Qualification - Certification (1997 to present) and Training in Cellebrite Digital Forensics Analysis. Eric is a Certified Notary Public.
Adding to his extensive knowledge and capabilities as an Investigator, Eric was an Adjunct Professor at SUNY Broome Community College where he taught a Criminal Investigations Lecture and Lab class from 2006 to 2020.
Working at Jackson Bergman LLP since 2021, Eric specializes in Investigative work in Criminal Defense cases, Criminal Prosecution of Assigned Special Prosecutor cases, and Family Law cases including Child Custody and Visitation, Divorce, Child Abuse allegations, Family Offense Petitions, among others. During his 35 + years of tenure, Eric has gained extensive experience in the Criminal Justice field, which has been instrumental in his success as a Private Investigator and making him a respected professional in the legal community.
